For those not in the know, Bürstner is the brainchild of Gerhart Bürstner the son of a German carpenter who in 1958 started producing mobile holiday homes after anticipating an increasing popularity of mobile holidaying as a widespread pastime. At first, Bürstner concentrated on hand crafted ornate interiors mounted on a solid chassis which at the time was very forward thinking. Throughout the 60s and 70s Bürstner caravans dominated the market producing lightweight cheaper vehicles for a broader range of customers.
